Tom Sartini has been an attorney since 1997 and has extensive litigation and trial experience, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in various business and commercial matters, real estate and construction disputes, and private individuals in a host of different types of legal matters. He has widespread experience in analyzing and evaluating cases and advising clients as to their legal rights and business interests. He is a trial attorney first and foremost, having tried numerous cases to a jury verdict as first-chair counsel as well as having represented clients at bench trials, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings.
He is honored to be included on the current Massachusetts’ Super Lawyers list in the practice area of Business Litigation. Only 5% of the attorneys licensed in the State of Massachusetts receive this honor.
As for his background, Attorney Sartini attended the evening division of the Massachusetts School of Law and graduated in 1997 in the top quarter of his class. He was a staff member of the MSL Law Review and contributed to published articles regarding the Commonwealth’s gratuity statute and breached Purchase & Sale agreements for real estate. Prior to law school, he graduated from Tabor Academy in Marion, MA in 1986 and then attended Union College in Schenectady, NY, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1990. He then obtained a degree in paralegal studies, with a concentration in civil litigation, from Boston University Metropolitan College in 1991. Shortly after that, he was accepted by the Massachusetts School of Law and enrolled in the evening division while continuing to work full-time at a Boston law firm as a litigation paralegal. Attorney Sartini obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in May of 1997 and passed the bar exam that same year. He was sworn in and licensed as a member of the Massachusetts Bar at a ceremony held at Faneuil Hall in Boston in December of 1997. He started his career as an attorney with a prominent Boston law firm before eventually starting his own law practice.
Attorney Sartini presently lives in Acton, MA with his wife and two sons. He was born in Arlington, MA and grew up in nearby Groton, MA. He is active in his community as a member of the Acton Lions Club of which he has served on its Board of Directors. This year received the Charles G. Kostro Fellowship Award given in recognition of contributions to local humanitarian needs. He had previously been involved for many years with Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball as a coach. Attorney Sartini is also a second generation member of the Ty-Rods, Inc. car club, founded in Concord, MA in 1952.
