I have been an attorney since 1997 and have extensive litigation and trial experience, having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in various business and commercial matters, real estate and construction disputes, and private individuals in a host of different types of legal matters.  I have widespread experience in analyzing and evaluating cases and advising clients as to their legal rights and business interests.  I am a trial attorney first and foremost, having tried numerous cases to a jury verdict as first-chair counsel as well as having represented clients at bench trials, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative hearings.  Furthermore, I have been selected to the current Massachusetts’ Super Lawyers list in the practice area of Business Litigation.  Only 5% of the attorneys licensed in the State of Massachusetts receive this honor.

As for my background, I attended the evening division of the Massachusetts School of Law and graduated in 1997 in the top quarter of my class.  I was a staff member of the MSL Law Review and contributed to published articles regarding the Commonwealth’s gratuity statute and breached Purchase & Sale agreements for real estate.  Prior to law school, I graduated from Tabor Academy in Marion, MA in 1986 and then was admitted to Union College in Schenectady, NY, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1990.   I then obtained a degree in paralegal studies, with a concentration in civil litigation, from Boston University Metropolitan College in 1991.  Shortly after that, I was accepted by the Massachusetts School of Law and enrolled in the evening division while continuing to work full-time at a Boston law firm as a litigation paralegal.  I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree in May of 1997 and passed the bar exam that same year.  I was sworn in and licensed as a member of the Massachusetts Bar at a ceremony held at Faneuil Hall in December of 1997.  I then started my career as an attorney with a prominent Boston law firm.  Eventually, I started my own law practice.

I presently live in Acton, MA with my wife and two sons.  I was born in Arlington, MA and grew up in nearby Groton, MA.  I am active in my community as a member of the Acton Lion’s Club and I presently serve on the Board of Directors for the same.  I have also previously been involved for many years with Acton Boxborough Youth Baseball as a coach.  I am also a second generation member of the Ty-Rods car club, founded in Concord, MA in 1952.
